Outdoor Kitchens! Today’s Hottest Trend!
Outdoor kitchens are the newest wave in outdoor living. Transforming your backyard into a place where you can entertain and gather with friends and family is today’s hottest trend. Instead of spending a lot of money on a vacation in paradise, today’s savvy consumer is transforming their backyard into the ultimate vacation paradise where they can enjoy, relax and entertain in style. Outdoor kitchens of yesteryear have evolved into a fabulous place for the outdoor gourmet to show off their stuff while creating an outdoor living space that you and your guests will never want to leave.
An outdoor kitchen can help you slow down and spend more time with family and friends by having all of the ingredients for outdoor dining stored in your outdoor kitchen. Running in and out of the house for items becomes time consuming and less time is spent entertaining. Light the grill, serve your guests a cold drink from the outdoor refrigerator, and cook up a fabulous meal while enjoying the company of your family and friends without running in and out of the house. Outdoor kitchens built with cabinets allow plenty of storage room for plates, napkins, utensils, glassware, aluminum foil, Ziploc bags, etc. The convenience of fully functional and spacious cabinetry will entice you to broaden your outdoor cooking abilities. Built-in grills, refrigerators, sinks and even ice makers are a popular combination of outdoor appliances to use when designing your full service outdoor kitchen. And best of all, you get to enjoy the outdoors!
How To Build An Outdoor Kitchen
Over the years, outdoor kitchens have been constructed out of many types of materials. The majority are made with wood or concrete and stucco. Some popular wood used to build an outdoor kitchen has been teak or cypress to lessen the deterioration time, which happens to wood when exposed to the outdoor environment. However, teak and cypress will over time develop the same problems as any other wood product and require maintenance of applying stain and sealant to prevent the inevitable deterioration. Mold and mildew will also eventually find its way into all types of wood cabinets. Concrete is used often to eliminate the risk of product breakdown, and can match very well to homes built in concrete such as in Florida. If you are interested in that type of look, it is a sturdy, well-built way to construct an outdoor kitchen. The downsides are giving up the storage space that cabinets provide and but you do gain cooking work space on the counter top. Stainless steel doors and drawers can be built in to the concrete/stucco box but they are pricey and open to an unfinished interior.
Nothing beats an outdoor kitchen made with our durable outdoor polymer that comes with a lifetime warranty. Our cabinets withstand the harshest of elements and you can hose them off and not worry about what the water will do to your outdoor kitchen. They do not need cover from the sun or rain. We have built outdoor kitchens on penthouse roof tops, which are exposed to the harshest of weather conditions. Check out our gallery.
